Here is a list of exciting upcoming virtual and augmented reality events to attend.


CE Week: Where Tech Meets Business

Some of the most influential minds in robotics, drones, smart homes, virtual reality, entertainment, startup economy, cognitive computing, cloud computing, connected cars and the Internet of Things will gather at CE Week, New York City’s largest consumer electronics (CE) and technology event. They’ll be discussing the latest trends, including virtual reality at the Metropolitan Pavilion from 21 to 23 June. Now in its tenth year, CE Week is an industry event for companies looking to generate excitement for their Q3 and Q4 products.

SVR 2016

The Symposium on Virtual and Augmented Reality (SVR) brings together researchers, students and professionals from various academic, industrial and commercial areas interested in the advances and applications of VR and AR. The SVR is composed of several activities including short courses, keynotes by national and international speakers, presentation of selected papers and exhibition of products by companies in the AR and VR market. The symposium takes place from 21 to 24 June in Gramado, Brazil.

24th 3D & Virtual Reality Expo IVR

3D & Virtual Reality Expo (IVR) is Japan’s largest exhibition where you can experience all kinds of cutting-edge 3D technology and high definition image technology. IVR attracts a significant number of users from manufacturing and amusement industries, broadcasting stations, image and content producing companies, telecommunication companies, public offices, universities and research centres, who are looking to buy solutions for their businesses. It takes place from 22 to 24 June in Tokyo.

Virtual Reality Summit

This three-day summit will cover current and future markets of VR/AR across the full spectrum of industries and verticals seminar topics ranging from business development paradigms to platforms for gaming and entertainment led by the most knowledgeable local and international experts in the industry. The VR Summit will take place alongside the 3D Printing Conference & Expo and RoboUniverse Conference & Expo. The Virtual Reality Summit first debuted alongside Inside 3D Printing in Santa Clara, California in April this year. The event takes place in Seoul from 22 – 24 June.

3D & Virtual Reality Expo

3D & Virtual Reality Expo (IVR) is Japan’s largest trade show for 3D and virtual reality where visitors can experience the latest cutting-edge 3D technology and super high definition image technology. IVR attracts a significant number of participants from manufacturing industries, amusement industries, broadcasting stations, image producing companies, content production companies, telecommunication companies, public offices, universities and research centres. The event takes place from 22 to 24 June at the Tokyo Big Sight.

Virtual Reality Summit, Seoul

More than 80 local and international 3D printing, robotics, and virtual reality companies are confirmed to sponsor or exhibit at the upcoming co-located Inside 3D Printing, RoboUniverse, and Virtual Reality Summit conference and trade show, taking place at the Korea International Exhibition Center (KINTEX) on June 22-24, 2016. Following a successful co-located event in New York in April, this is the first time that all three events will be hosted together in Korea.

VidCon 2016

In 2015, over 21,000 fans, creators, and industry leaders got together to celebrate the power of online video. This year the event will be even bigger and include a seminar on virtual reality videos by Barry Pousman, CEO – Variable Labs. Attendees are invited to join the producer of “Clouds Over Sidra”, the VR documentary that brought viewers inside a Syrian Refugee Camp as he shares his tips and tactics for creating compelling VR narrative and where he sees the industry of VR/360 content going. Virtual & Augmented Reality World Conference & Expo

The Virtual & Augmented Reality World Conference & Expo is an opportunity to be part of an international event showcasing diverse projects with thought leaders providing insight and guidance through their experiences in authoring virtual and augmented reality content. In the exhibition hall audiences will be able to have interactive immersive experiences including room scale experiences with the HTC Vive. The conference and expo takes place on 25, 26 and 27 June at the Mattamy Centre in Toronto, Canada.

Strategies for Using Virtual Reality for Marketing, Branding and Customer Engagement

This is a business conference led by marketing directors from leading global brands demonstrating how to integrate VR into a brand’s marketing mix. Virtual Reality Summit @ Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2016

The Virtual Reality Summit brings pioneers, futurists, innovators, content producers, software developers and investors together to move VR technology forward. There will be a VR experience zone in the center of the exhibition floor with the leading VR/AR companies from across the world showcasing their cutting-edge technologies and products. The Virtual Reality Summit takes place on 30 June at MWC Shanghai. The Mobile World Congress takes place from 29 June to 1 July at the same venue.

Virtual Reality for Global Brands 2016

Virtual Reality for Global Brands is a business conference led by CMOs and marketing directors from leading global brands demonstrating how to integrated VR in a marketing mix. This brand-led, case study focused event bring together top names in branding, marketing and customer engagement from a diverse range of industries to tackle the biggest questions of how to utilize VR, AR and immersive technology in marketing. Virtual Reality Demo Day

This is a day entirely devoted to VR technology. Attendees can watch top companies pitch the latest ideas in this immersive technology. The Demo Day takes place at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California on 13 July.

Develop Brighton 2016

The Develop Brighton Conference is the must-attend event in the European games development calendar. This year the conference introduces for the first time a brand new VR track which will explore every aspect of VR across all disciplines. The conference takes place from 12 to 14 July with the VR track taking place on 13 July.

VAMR 2016 – 8th International Conference on Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality

Topics at this week-long conference cover every aspect of VR, AR and MR, from applications, interaction and navigation in VAMR to issues in development and use of VAMR, underlying supporting technologies like HMDs and tracking technologies – too many to list here. 43rd SIGGRAPH Conference on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques

This five-day event is a prestigious forum for computer graphics research, creative adventures in digital media, immersive realities, emerging interactive technologies, advanced mobile systems, and hands-on opportunities for creative collaboration. The SIGGRAPH 2016 experiential programs will allow attendees to interact with apps, demos, and hands-on labs that showcase everything from mobile VR to haptic technologies, real-time game sequences, 3D printing, and immersive realities.

BRVR 2016

The BRVR 2016 congress brings together content producers, researchers, visionaries and enthusiasts in virtual reality technology. VS-Games 2016

The 8th International Conference on Virtual Worlds and Games for Serious Applications, VS-Games 2016, takes place from 7 to 9 September in Barcelona, Spain. VS-Games 2016 aims to continue the series’ overall goals of developing and nurturing theoretical and academic rigour in the discussion of serious games and virtual worlds. 15th IEEE ISMAR 2016

ISMAR stands for “International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality“. The IEEE ISMAR is the leading international academic conference in the fields of Augmented Reality and Mixed Reality. This event will cover the full range of mixed reality technologies from interfaces in the real world to fully immersive experiences. It takes place from 19 to 23 September in Yucatan, Mexico.

Going beyond Gaming

This discussion event is for women interested in exploring the potential of VR. The event will explore how virtual reality is transforming storytelling, medicine, education, design, and everything in between. The event, sponsored by leading companies in VR, aims to empower women by providing opportunities to explore, collaborate, and innovate around virtual reality technology. The event takes place on 20 September at the Linden Lab, San Francisco.

Tech Expo Conference and Exhibition – Emerging Tech in Context

Immersive Technology Conference

Houston, Texas is hosting the first annual Immersive Technology Conference that encompasses Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Mixed Reality (MR) later this year.
